Go on an extended full day Chobe sunrise safari and sunset river cruise along the Chobe River and witness the abundant wildlife on the banks, including large herds of elephant coming down for a drink and a wallow. Other common sites are crocodiles and hippos basking in the sun, antelope, zebra and if you’re lucky the occasional lion. If you are a birding enthusiast this is a great chance to spot a number of stunning birds including African darters, skimmers (threatened species), fish eagles, kingfishers and other waders and water birds. Listen for the unmistakable call of the African fish eagle.
Your will go on a specially adapted boat that take tours through the unique islands and channels that provide such a haven for bird and wildlife. The boat captain will impart his knowledge of this remarkable environment and the people that inhabit its shores. The river cruise is a must do activity when visiting the national park.
